Pat TillmanNumerology & Natal Chart Profile

Biography

Patrick Daniel Tillman was an American professional football player who left his NFL career to enlist in the U.S. Army following the September 11 attacks. Born in San Jose, California, he played college football at Arizona State University before being drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 1998, where he played safety for four seasons. In 2002, at the height of his athletic career, Tillman turned down a lucrative contract offer to join the U.S. Army, later serving in the Army Rangers. He completed tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. In April 2004, Tillman was killed in Afghanistan; the Army initially reported his death as the result of enemy fire, but a subsequent investigation revealed he had died from fratricide, or friendly fire, from fellow soldiers. The circumstances of his death and the military's handling of the aftermath became the subject of significant controversy and congressional inquiry. Tillman has since been remembered as a symbol of patriotic sacrifice, and the Pat Tillman Foundation, established in his honor, supports scholarships for veterans and military spouses.
