Starya calculates astrology and numerology results from the details you provide, then presents them as reflective readings. These traditions are frameworks for self-reflection, offered for entertainment and personal exploration. They are not scientifically established predictive systems, they do not determine a fixed destiny, and they are not medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice.

Readings are written in tentative language on purpose — you may notice, this could suggest, consider — because that is an honest description of what the method can support.

Starya uses your birth date to calculate both astrology and numerology results. Birth time and location help determine time-sensitive chart details such as your Rising sign, houses, and angles.

• Birth date — required. Drives your Life Path, Birthday and Attitude numbers, your personal day/month/year cycles, and every planetary sign placement.
• Birth time — optional. Needed for Rising sign, house cusps, angles, chart ruler, and an exact Moon degree.
• Birth place and its coordinates and timezone — optional. Needed alongside birth time for houses and angles.
• Full birth name — optional. Used only for name-based numerology (Expression, Soul Urge, Personality). Never displayed publicly and never placed on a share card.
• Preferred display name and avatar — the only profile fields other users can ever see.
• Email address — used for sign-in and for the emails you have opted into.

Rising sign, houses, angles, and chart ruler depend on an exact birth time and coordinates. When either is missing, Starya withholds those placements instead of guessing at them, and says so on the chart itself. Planetary sign placements remain valid and still support useful reflection.

You can add or correct birth details at any time from Account settings; charts recalculate from the corrected values.

Charts and numbers are computed deterministically in Starya's own code. The same inputs always produce the same output.

• Astrology: planetary positions are computed from your birth moment converted to UTC using the timezone of your birth location. Houses use Placidus by default, with Whole Sign available as a toggle. Major aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) use a 6° orb; minor aspects use tighter orbs.
• Transits are computed against the current moment each time you open a transit view, so they are live rather than frozen at signup.
• Numerology uses the Pythagorean system. Master numbers 11, 22, and 33 are preserved rather than reduced. Life Path, Birthday and Attitude numbers come from your birth date; Expression, Soul Urge and Personality come from your full birth name. Personal Year runs birthday-to-birthday rather than January-to-January.
• StarSync compatibility is a numerology-weighted score: Life Path 45%, Birthday number 20%, Attitude number 20%, and the day's cosmic timing 15%. Sun-sign synastry is displayed alongside the score but is not part of the number.

Generic content is never presented as personalised. Readings carry an explicit label so you always know what generated them: a general sign reading, a reading personalised to your natal chart, a transit-based reading, a numerology-based reading, or a combined astrology-and-numerology interpretation such as the Cosmic Blueprint.

Starya's calculation tools generate the structured astrology and numerology results. AI then helps translate those results into readable reflections. AI does not replace the calculation engine: it does not compute planetary positions, does not derive numerology values, and cannot alter your stored chart.

• Cosmic Blueprint: receives only finished, labelled results — for example "Sun in Leo" or "Life Path 7". It does not receive your birth date, birth time, birth location, or your full birth name.
• The AI numerology guide chat: because it answers open questions about your own chart, it receives your profile context, which includes your full name and birth date along with your calculated numbers. If you would rather not share that, don't use the chat — every other reading works without it.
• Journal summaries: journal text is only sent to AI when you switch AI analysis on. It is off by default.
• StarSync: receives celebrity names and dates and your calculated numerology values — not your raw birth details.
• AI-written text is stored alongside the reading so it can be shown again, and it is deleted when you delete the reading or your account. Regenerating replaces it.
• AI requests are processed by third-party model providers through Starya's gateway. Providers are not permitted to use your content to train their models.
• AI-generated reflections may contain errors. Treat them as prompts for consideration rather than fixed conclusions. Your calculated chart is unchanged even when an interpretation fails to generate.

Journal entries are private to your account and enforced as such at the database level. They are not shown to other users and are not used to train anything.

AI analysis of journal content is opt-in and off by default; you can switch it back off at any time, and existing AI summaries can be deleted. Journal text is excluded from analytics events and from error logs.

Journal data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting provider. It is not end-to-end encrypted — Starya could technically access stored content, so we describe the protection accurately rather than over-claiming it.

Sharing is always something you initiate. Starya never posts on your behalf and never shares a result automatically.

Share cards are generated from a fixed, narrow set of fields. Your full birth date, birth time, birth location, email address, full birth name, and private chart interpretations are not included. You choose whether your card shows a nickname you type in or no name at all, and you see an exact preview before anything leaves the app.

Celebrity profiles do not imply participation, affiliation, or endorsement. StarSync compatibility results are reflective and for entertainment purposes.

A match percentage describes how two number patterns overlap under Starya's own method. It is not a scientific probability, does not predict a real relationship, and involves no contact with the person shown. Some celebrity portraits are AI-generated illustrations rather than photographs and are labelled where shown. Your own birth details are never shared through StarSync.

Starya does not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Storage in your browser is used to keep you signed in, remember your language, and hold an unsent journal draft so you don't lose it.

Product analytics record coarse interaction events — that a search ran, that a match was opened, that a card was shared. Payloads are filtered in code: keys relating to birth data, names, email, location, chart, or journal are stripped before an event is sent, and any value shaped like a date is dropped.

Error logs record technical failures — status codes, function names, stack traces. They are not designed to capture birth details, full names, journal text, authentication tokens, payment details, or complete readings.

Privacy and deletion controls are available to every account, including free accounts. They are never behind a subscription.

• Edit birth details, display name, and full birth name — Account settings.
• Delete an individual journal entry, saved StarSync match, or AI summary — from the item itself.
• Turn journal AI analysis on or off, and manage notification channels — Journal settings.
• Manage or cancel your subscription — Account settings.
• Delete your account, or request a copy of your data — contact us and we will action it.

Deleting your account removes your profile, birth details, natal chart, journal entries, saved matches, and AI-generated summaries.

Some records are kept where we are required to keep them: billing and tax records held by our payment processor, and limited security or fraud-prevention logs. Encrypted infrastructure backups may still contain deleted content for a short retention window before they roll over, so deletion is not instantaneous at the storage layer even though your data becomes inaccessible in the app immediately.

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Starya does not see or store your card number.

Prices, the billing interval, any trial length, and the full amount charged are shown on the pricing page and again in Stripe's checkout before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Account settings; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and cancelling does not delete your data.

We hold no security certifications, audits, awards, or scientific endorsements, and we don't display badges suggesting otherwise. We don't claim end-to-end encryption, and we don't claim that no person or system could ever access stored data. If a claim isn't on this page, we haven't verified it.
